Cost: $50 plus a $5 fee (for supplies)

Skill level: Beginner

In this 5 hour, hands-on introduction to watercolor painting, students will be introduced to the basics of watercolor painting. Designed for those who have no prior experience in art or painting, the focus will be on trying out basic techniques and learning to relax and enjoy the process of painting. Students will paint along with the instructor as they complete several exercises and a simple painting in one class session. Supplies, materials and basic paint handling techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, blending and lifting will be introduced. Don’t be afraid to try something new, come and experiment with other "first timers"! If you already have supplies, feel free to bring them.

We will take a short break for lunch. You may have lunch at your leisure at a local restaurant or bring a packed lunch and eat in the studio. The instructor will remain in the studio for consultation during lunch."
